This is a cycling challenge where you will be cycling though the spectacular scenery of Cental Otago. The aim of our challenge is to raise funds for the Otago Community Hospice while at the same time aspiring to their motto “Living Every Moment”.

The Rail Trail provides access to some beautiful scenery not seen from the highways including mountain ranges, hills and gorges, the vast Maniototo plain and old gold mining towns – and it ends in the bountiful fruit growing heart of Central Otago. The heritage of the old railway line has been preserved, with the retention of viaducts and bridges, and some of the old Railway Stations.
Dates February 6 – 9th Waitangi Weekend 2014.

We are hoping this event becomes an annual fundraiser for the Otago Community Hospice and will eventually spread nationwide to become a major fundraiser for our Hospice’s who offer palliative care for people with life limiting illnesses.

Food Share is a non profit organisation that collects excess fresh and frozen food from Donor businesses (market, cafes, bakeries etc) then sorts and distributes it to social service agencies. They achieve two aims they feed the hungry and reduce food wastage.
